KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER

LOCATION: THE MIDLANDS

SALARY: £35k- £40k + £4k Car Allowance + 15% BONUS

ROLE SUMMARY

We’re looking to add a passionate and tenacious Key Account Manager to the Napton Cidery On Trade Team. This role will have responsibility for growing the Napton brand across the Midlands, covering all On Trade channels with a focus on Independent Free Trade & Wholesale.

Growth will primarily be achieved by delivering new business targets, with set KPI’s and P&L responsibility. As part of the Napton On Trade Team, you will be required to win market share by developing winning relationships with route market contacts, winning new draught stockists & achieving organic growth with existing customers to be a true brand champion for Napton Cidery.

This role is about growing distribution, volume and sales across our heartland. Our culture is fun, fast paced, hardworking and collaborative. ABOUT NAPTON CIDERY

Napton Cidery was set up in 2015 (it was our 10th birthday this year!) by Jolyon & Charlotte Oliver. From humble roots Napton Cider is now available on draught in 60+ On Trade venues across the Midlands and is available nationwide via Ocado & The National Trust.

Napton Cidery is the Uk’s only British B Corp accredited cider brand. Our recent re- brand named ‘Crafted By Nature’ focuses on supporting nature and bio- diversity to thrive across the UK. We have an ambitious 5 year growth plan to make Napton Cidery ‘Locally Loved and Nationally Recognised’ across both the On Trade & Off Trade channels. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Securing permanent draught listings and packaged listings of Napton in new customers across The Midlands.

  • Identifying the best opportunities to create partnerships and grow Napton cider sales with new and existing customers, both individual sites and Multiple Retail Groups.

  • Building winning relationships with national and local wholesale partners, focusing on driving draught distribution and mutual wins.

  • Activating marketing/ customer brand plans centred around the ‘Locally Loved’ strategic pillar.

  • Accurate forecasting and management of aspects of the P&L relevant to this role.

  • Negotiation and analysis of commercial agreements

  • As a member of the Napton Team, be a real team player, lead by example and share best practice 

EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years on trade sales experience in a sales role with a proven track record of new business wins in The Midlands

  • Experience working with free trade, wholesale & Key Accounts is essential. Experience in other channels is desirable but not essential.

  • A passion for cider/ premium/ environmentally conscious brands and a clear understanding of what makes these brands successful

  • Hard working, goal orientated and the confidence to work autonomously

  • Self-motivated, with an entrepreneurial approach and solutions based, ‘can-do’ attitude 

  • An excellent relationship builder, possess good communication (written & verbal) skills

  • Commercial awareness with good numerical and logical reasoning skills

  • Excellent time management with the ability to multi- task, prioritise and plan effectively

  • A strategic mindset, someone who will make the right decision for the long term

Location – Midlands (HQ in Napton, Warwickshire)

Flexible Working- Approximately one evening per month required
