The Napton Story
One of our knowledgeable team will guide you through the cider-making process, from orchard to glass. You’ll learn about our commitment to traditional methods, the source of our exceptional apples, and the fermentation techniques that go into creating our multiple award-winning ciders.

The Cidermaker’s Table Tour

Pull up a seat at The Cidermaker’s Table — this is where the real cider conversations happen.

Designed for curious drinkers and proper enthusiasts, this tour goes beyond the basics and offers a deeper look into how our cider is made. Hosted by Nick, who has worked closely behind the scenes with Jolyon for years, this experience is informal, unhurried, and driven by your questions.

What’s on the table?

• A relaxed but in-depth discussion about the cider-making process (questions very much encouraged)

• Insight into the decisions, techniques, and occasional head-scratching moments behind each batch

• A wander through our small orchard, exploring how apples, seasons, and nature shape our cider

• A three-cheese platter, featuring:

  • Cheddar

  • Red Leicester

  • Shropshire Blue

This isn’t a lecture and it’s definitely not rushed — it’s a friendly, informative experience for people who genuinely love cider and want to understand it better, ideally with good cheese in hand.

For those looking for a fuller, more traditional British experience, this option builds on our Signature Tasting and adds something special.

This experience includes everything in our Signature Cider Tasting, plus:

A Hearty Ploughman’s Supper
Enjoy a beautifully prepared Ploughman’s lunch or supper (depending on your visit time), freshly made for us by our neighbours at Napton Village Stores. It’s a generous spread made with high-quality local produce and the perfect accompaniment to a glass (or two!) of our finest cider.
